Good news for friends and family (and anyone else) visiting the US Virgin Islands in 2017! March 31, 2017 marks 100 years since the Danish West Indies were transferred to the United States of America. To commemorate the centennial, a special promotion giving visitors $300 in spending credits will be available throughout 2017.

The $300 in credits can be used towards historical/cultural tours and activities. I’m sure the Cruzan rum factory tour is included. To receive the credits, travel must be booked through the USVI tourism website (minimum 3 night stay at participating hotels) before October 1, 2017 and travel must take place in 2017.
