Last Monday was our anniversary, and I spent the entire day in bed. But not in the it’s our anniversary stay in bed and have sex all day kind of way. As it turns out, my skin is starting to rebel against island life.
Since moving to St. Croix, my skin has taken a beating. I have bruises all over from when the dog pulled me down some stairs, blotchy red bumps covering my legs from bug bites, scars from over-scratching said bug bites, super itchy puss-filled blisters on my feet and toes from something (who knows what), and to top it all off, there was the rash.
The morning of our anniversary I awoke to find a bright red, itchy, bumpy rash from elbow to wrist on both of my forearms. I’m not sure if it was heat rash, or an allergic reaction to something (I hear mango sap is as bad as poison ivy for some people), or just bad luck. Whatever it was, I popped a few Benadryl and slept the day away, completely missing an event we had that afternoon and our anniversary celebration that evening.
I spent the majority of last week in bed, just generally feeling under the weather, so I’m a little behind on posting updates. But, there are a lot of good things coming, like new jobs and fun events, so stay tuned!
In the meantime, anyone know what these are? It started as 2, then I popped them and woke up the next day with 10… Gross.

I would see the dermatologist today. He/she probably will know exactly what you have and could help with meds and warnings. Or, you could stay in bed. Good Luck on whatever you do. You are correct it does look GROSS! Thanks for sharing. Ha Ha. I hope you get over this soon. Thanks for the update, I always enjoy everything you tell me about this part of your life.

First off, you’ll be okay, it doesn’t look to bad. Secondly, time to start eating garlic and apple cider vinegar, bugs hate it!!! I heard, orange and lemon peels repel them too. That’s my two cents. BE well!
